Hi all, Just feeling well enough to find this and contribute. Came out of hospital yesterday. I have no recollection of either the race or qualifying. So as far as I’m concerned I’ve never been on the Silverstone GP circuit! My mechanics just broought the car back - doesn’t explain how my helmet came off and how I cracked my ribs….If anyone has any in-car footage or photos I would really appreciate them- it may help restore my memory.

Sorry to hear about the accident but glad John’s on the mend. You boys need to learn to behave yourselves when I’m not there though….

It was a bad day for some of us!
Update on john moon , yesterday the hospital said that he was comfortable but still being kept in.
Today i believe that he is still in. being monitored wont go into detail,s i;ll let john tell you more,
But he is on the mend and hopefully will be out soon.

I quite like your description of me as an “unknown quantity”. Sadly the car looked better than it went. loss of gearbox oil resulted in a a fair bit of smoke, and me having to do almost the entire race in just 4th gear! so 23rd overall was an excellent result

But fantastic fun. “i’ll be back”

News of John Moon as of this afternoon.

“John is still in Northampton General Hospital and
is expected to stay overnight today as well. He has had a CAT scan as well as X-Rays and apart for some cracked ribs would seem to be OK, although in some pain.”

I will get further news tomorrow and pass it on.

We wish John a speedy recovery.

Quite an eventful meeting I am sure you will agree…I am in the process of writing it up but it will take a little time to get it all in so hope to post the report at the weekend.
