Brands Hatch Pre-Race report.

Inspired by the archive photo placed on the official web site I have decided to launch yet another new feature for this report.Yes you’ve guessed it…it’s the Blast from the Past section!

Each month I will be publishing embarrassing photos of the drivers showing their skill and judgement in the racing environment, subject to the following conditions:

Of course as you are all aware, funding is limited for my racing and any generous donation would no doubt result in me being unable to publish a photo of any driver who wished to support Jonesey Racing. (I think I can get away with that!)

So, to start us off then, who has not paid me enough this month…errm I mean who is the lucky driver selected at random?

Why yes, it’s young Mr Burchill from car 13. If you go to the photo gallery & look at the “Round the Bend” album, you will find a nice shot of the schoolboy Burchill showing how not to drive his green metro round paddock hill !

Just to show that I am not afraid to get involved personally (i.e. I will publish ANY photo!) you will also find one of young Jonesey, back in the days when my hair was black, also showing how not to take paddock hill bend. I think it was this incident that gave me the grey hairs in the first place.

Clearly if past performances are anything to go by it should be an entertaining race!

Any way to more serious matters, a good grid for Brands although class A is looking a little lighter than usual..I guess all the other drivers are sunning themselves in the Bahamas.

Weather forecast for Brands is rain from early morning until midday (hurrah!) but drying out in the afternoon which means we should have a dry race.  (boo!)

We have a very leisurely start time and are last race. I am told it has been some time since the PBIC lot have raced at Brands so I expect to see some keen observation of other races by the drivers trying to pick up a few tips.
