Beers in the boot is probably car 13's problem, can't hear himself think for the noise of all those bottles and cans rattling, might explain the tail first incident at Bridge too...

Personally I empty the boot so I can hear the radio more easily.

Wonder if the bike folks will still be in the paddock at 10 am after a good party on Saturday, looking at some of the race entries space will not be too tight. See you all there.

Looking forward to Cadwell, Silverstone was a cracking weekend however doing 4 races on the Sunday was hard work.

As some of you have seen the car had some track side panel beating after my incident at Bridge. Thanks to the students from Bedford College for pulling the car straight.

See you all saturday night at Cadwell

I am hoping the copious use of washers will ballast your car down & give me a chance to catch up!

I will add your photos to the Silverstone Album.

Many of you are aware we had a little incident in the qualifying session at Silverstone. This resulted in the steering arm being bent, broken steering rack, wing, bonnet, spoiler, brake duct, inner wing, slam panel, oil cooler shroud, grille and headlamp cowl etc.
The sad thing was that this was only qualifying! But I am sure we will bump into each other again (oops! I meant meet again).

This incident reminded me of why I race for the Peter Best Insurance Challenge. The regular drivers willingly offered their help and assistance in getting the car ready for the race. I was in such a rush I did not get a chance to say thanks to all who helped me and to those who offered to help.

To name:

Jonesey for supplying me with his much cherished washers, nuts and bolts.

Alan/David Brooke for supplying bonnet pins (you can have them back at Cadwell!)

Martin Watters who sourced a headlamp cowl (to help hold the fibreglass fragments together)

Simon Hutchinson for mucking in (even with a broken thumb!)

My sons Ollie & Dan for their efforts

The car is now well on it’s way to recovery as shown in pics

Again Thanks to all
